An AI tutor for CBSE that remembers last week’s fractions
If you searched “AI tutor for CBSE,” you are probably not shopping for a slogan. You are looking at a child stuck on a chapter the class has already left, and a report card that says 62% without saying why.

What does an AI tutor for CBSE actually do?

Every session adds to a living model of your child: struggles, wins, and the explanation styles that work for them. The next session picks up where the last one ended. Most AI tools forget the child when the tab closes.
A score of 60% tells you nothing. Jhamly tells you she read the problem left-to-right, so 2 + 2 ÷ 2 became 4. Wrong answers map to named misconceptions you can actually fix: borrowing in subtraction, adding numerators and denominators straight across, sign errors in algebra. Then the tutor works on that — not on repeating what is already solid.
Practice questions are verified before your child sees them. When the tutor is not sure, it says so. During quizzes it goes quiet, so the score is your child’s. Unaided mastery checks can be labelled “home-verified.” That is slower than “here is the answer.” It is the point.
Which CBSE grades and subjects are live today?
We would rather show a gap than fake completeness. CBSE Grades 3–12 are listed. The deepest fully-tutored set today is Maths Grades 3–8. Other chapters may be listed in Journey while quizzes and deeper tutoring are still rolling out. Grey means roadmap.

If your child is in CBSE Maths 3–8, that is the deepest set we tutor today. If they are in Grade 9 or 11, you will see chapters in Journey; do not expect the same tutoring depth we ship for middle-school maths.
My child is weak in maths — how does Jhamly handle that?
It tries to find why. A wrong answer usually traces to a specific misconception, not to “being weak at maths.” The tutor does not rerun the whole chapter. It works the gap, then checks whether the child can do it unaided.
Exam practice, when it is useful, is the same idea: quizzes by chapter and difficulty; after each attempt, which concept cost them marks — not just a score. We do not claim to replace school exams or guarantee ranks.

Will it clash with school — or just do the homework?
Content is aligned to your child’s board and grade, chapter by chapter. Where we are still building a chapter, Syllabus says so.
And no — it will not just do the homework. That is the failure mode we designed against. The tutor guides, asks, and works through problems with your child. During quizzes it goes silent. If what you wanted was a chatbot that finishes the worksheet, ChatGPT will do that. That is why we built something else.
Is it safe for a CBSE child?
A parent or guardian creates the account, then adds a profile for each child. Children never create accounts themselves. India’s DPDP Act, 2023 requires verifiable parental consent — and we would want it that way anyway.
You can read every conversation. There are no ads or trackers in the student and parent apps, and we do not sell data. If the school also uses Jhamly for Institutions, it still cannot see tutoring chats, progress, or quiz history. That split is built into the product, not a toggle. Which boards and grades do you cover?
CBSE Grades 3–12, ICSE Grades 3–10, and Karnataka State Board Grades 3–10. Maths Grades 3–8 is the deepest tutored set today; other chapters may be listed in Journey while quizzes and deeper tutoring are still rolling out. The Syllabus page is the honest map.
Will it just do my child’s homework?

Can the AI be wrong?
Yes, occasionally. Any AI can. That is why practice questions are verified before your child sees them, why wrong answers are mapped to named misconceptions, and why we still want students to check important answers against their textbook. We would rather say this plainly than pretend otherwise.

Can I see what the AI tells my child?
Yes — everything. Full chat transcripts, quiz history, and what the tutor remembers about your child’s learning are visible in the parent app. There is no kids-only space in Jhamly.
