About us

Learning that remembers. Progress you can trust.

Jhamly is an AI tutor for Indian school children — built to actually improve how a child learns, and to prove it to the people who love them most.

Why Jhamly exists

Every parent has felt it: the tuition class with forty kids where nobody notices your child stopped understanding fractions three chapters ago. The report card that says “62%” but can’t tell you why, or what to do about it. The homework hour that ends in tears — theirs or yours.

Generic AI chatbots made this worse before they made it better. Ask one for help and it hands over the answer — fast, confident, and completely empty. The child learns nothing. Worse, it looks like learning happened.

We started Jhamly because we believe AI can do something far better than answer questions: it can tutor. Remember what a child struggled with last Tuesday. Notice the misconception behind the wrong answer, not just the wrong answer. Celebrate the win in a way that makes a kid want to come back tomorrow. And show parents — honestly, in plain language — whether it’s actually working.

That’s the company we’re building.

What makes Jhamly different

It teaches before it tells.

Our tutor asks, hints, and guides before it ever gives an answer. Struggle is where learning happens — we protect it. When a child is genuinely stuck, the tutor teaches rather than leaving them stranded.

It remembers, safely.

Jhamly keeps a living memory of each learner: what they’ve mastered, where they trip, how they like things explained. A fact only enters that memory when it is verified. Mastery is earned through assessment, not assumed.

It measures itself.

Practice items are checked by solvers, not vibes. Wrong answers map to specific misconceptions, so a quiz doesn’t just score a child — it tells the tutor what to fix next. We’d rather show a parent an honest “not yet” than a flattering “great job.”

Parents see everything.

Full chat transcripts, assessment history, and plain-language explanations of what the AI remembers and why. Nothing about your child is hidden from you.

Schools never see learning data.

If a school uses Jhamly for Institutions, it manages attendance, fees, and schedules — and that’s where it stops. Tutoring conversations and progress belong to the child and parent. They never flow back to the institution.

No ads. No attention tricks. No data sales.

We make money when families find Jhamly worth paying for. That’s the whole business model.

We don’t get to claim impact. We have to show it.

Every feature we ship is judged against one question: does this measurably help a child learn? If we can’t measure it, we say so. If the data says something isn’t working, we fix it — and the parent dashboard tells you the truth either way.

Who’s behind Jhamly

Jhamly is built by Nishanth Divakar Raju andRachanaa Harshitha — a husband-and-wife founding team in Bengaluru.

We started Jhamly for a simple reason: working parents are asked to do the impossible. The meeting that runs past homework hour. The tuition class with forty kids where nobody notices yours stopped understanding three chapters ago. The wanting to be there, and the clock that says no.

So we’re building the thing that tips that arithmetic back in the family’s favour: a tutor that’s patient every single day, remembers what a child found hard last week, and reports the truth to the parent — so the time you do get with your child goes further.

Small team, no growth hacks. Two founders, government-recognised, building carefully and answering our own support email.

The fox

Our buddy is a fox because a good tutor is clever, patient, and always on your side. That’s Jham — the learning companion in the student app.
